Electroplating
If the finish you require isn't listed below,
give us a call. We have the flexibility to meet your needs.
Coating Systems' advanced technologies and chemistries produce better adhesion, reduce bleed-out from seams, and provide the capability to do more precision work.
Our lines for zinc, nickel, and other types of plating can efficiently accommodate large runs, short runs, prototypes, and more complex parts.
Chromium plating-decorative & commercial: QQ-C-320
Copper Plating- MIL-C-14550 Copper in
color. Matte to very shiny finish. Good corrosion resistance
as undercoat. ROHS compliant.
Electroless Nickel- MIL-C-26074 (ASTM B 733) Similar
to stainless steel in
color. Plates uniformly. Does not build up on edges. Corrosion
resistance good over .001. ROHS compliant.
Nickel Plating / Sulfamate Nickel- QQ-N-290 Corrosion
resistance is a function of thickness. Low thermal expansion coefficient. Magnetic. ROHS
compliant.
Phosphate coating, Type II (iron phosphate)
Primarily for use where metal/aluminum parts are to be painted or powder coated.
Passivating, Clear- AMS 2700 Designed to
remove foreign metals from surfaces, thereby improving corrosion resistance. Does not change appearance of the base metal. ROHS compliant.
Tin Plating- MIL-T-10727 Color is
gray-white. Soft but ductile. Corrosion resistance is good.
Solderability is excellent. Not good in low temperature applications.
ROHS compliant.
Zinc Plating- clear, yellow & black-
ASTM-B-633 Bright zinc plating closely resembles bright
chromium, but doesn't have the apparent surface permanence. Zinc coated
steel will not rust when steel is exposed by scratches because of the
galvanic protection of the zinc. Clear is ROHS compliant. Please specify ROHS compliant for yellow or black.
Zincate plating on aluminum: Immersion coating of zinc on aluminum providing a base for plating.
